On August 26, Sinoma (Nanjing) and Dangote Group signed a package of project contracts with total value of USD148.7 million. It’s another big contract between both parties following contract with value of USD180 million signed in 2008 and USD142.6 million contract in 2011.
As it is reported, Sinoma International has contracted the complete 16 production lines invested in 8 African countries by Dangote Group for the last 8 years. The package EPC projects include Nepal 6000t/d Cement Production Line, Ethiopia 5000t/d Cement Production Line, five 3000t/d cement production lines in Niger, Zambia, Senegal and Kenya, 1 MTPA cement grinding plants in Cameroon and Mali.
Li Yong, acting Consulate General of China stationed in Lagos attended the signing ceremony, and expressed his congratulations to Mr. Dangote, Board Chairman of Dangote Group regarding the successful signing of the contracts. He hoped Dangote Group would continuously explore and deepen the cooperation of mutual benefit with Sinoma International, and extended his best wishes to project construction.
Sinoma (Nanjing)’s Board Chairman Mr. Shen Jun, General Manager Mr. Yin Zhisong, Dangote Group’s Chairman Mr. Dangote, Director and General Manager Mr. Edwin made their signatures in the contracts.
Mr. Shen Jun gave a speech in the signing ceremony, and he extended his appreciation for Dangote Group’s trust on Sinoma for a long time. He expressed, both parties joined hands once again, it would achieve strategic partnership in bigger scope and deeper level, Sinoma International would continue to dispatch 1st class project management team, deliver 1st class service and quality, smoothly perform the contract as per the agreements, return Dangote Group’s trust, and make contribution to the infrastructure building and economic development for the project resident countries. He made the commitment, Sinoma International’s project team would comply with local laws, respect local culture, accelerate localization process, and train more local technical and management professionals in project resident countries.
Mr. Dangote addressed, in the last 8 years, both parties had worked closely, and had become important partners with mutual trust. He thanked Sinoma’s effort and devotion in a long time, and he had the confidence that project construction would make bigger achievements by the sound cooperation and joint effort of both parties. Dangote Group also invited over 50 persons, including Ambassadors and Consulates of pertinent states, reporters from local and international media to attend the signing ceremony. Sinoma (Nanjing)’s Vice General Manager Huang Ping and Chen Gongyi as well as both project teams witnessed the contract signing.
