Recently in Cairo, Chengdu Design & Research Institute of Building Materials Industry Co., Ltd.(CDI) and Equipment Bureau for Ministry of Defense of the Arab Republic of Egypt signed the turnkey contracts of six 6000tpd clinker and cement production lines covering design & engineering, procurement, civil construction, installation and commissioning. The contract price is up to EUR1.053 billion(equals to approximately 7.845 billion Chinese Yuan subject to the central parity rate of the People's Bank of China dated June 8, 2016).

According to the company announcement, the six greenfield 6000tpd cement projects covers the complete process from raw materials crushing to cement product packing & delivery, including camp construction, quarry exploitation platform construction, quarry workshop, quarry crushing, plant site geological survey, etc., and the production lines would be built by the model of EPC general contracting, including design & engineering, equipment manufacturing, civil construction, procurement and installation, commissioning and training; three-year operation and maintenance would also be furnished for the two GOE Arish 2nd phase 5775tpd cement projects and the newly signed six Ben Suef cement production lines projects. The greenfield production lines would be put into trial production in December 2017, and the output as stipulated in the contract would be met within 3 months from the date of initial production.

CDI expressed, contract value of 7.845 billion Chinese Yuan took up about 34.72% of 2015 audited operating turnover of Sinoma International, and the signing and implementation of the contracts would support Sinoma International to further explore overseas cement engineering and equipment markets.
